The Dr. Gabriel-Marquis Award for Excellence
Simon-David Gauthier, a master’s student in Dr. Martin Guimond’s research unit, was granted the Dr. Gabriel-Marquis Award for Excellence. This master’s level award is presented each year to a student from the Université de Montréal’s Microbiology and Immunology Department thanks to a bequest from Dr. Gabriel Marquis.
The winner must possess an excellent academic record in addition to displaying outstanding human qualities through social engagement. The Awards Committee was indeed very impressed with Simon-David’s nomination.
