An award for excellence for Gaël Villanueva-Charbonneau
Gaël Villanueva-Charbonneau, a summer intern in the laboratory of Dr. Édouard Kouassi, received an award for excellence at the last conference of University de Montréal’s Comité d’organisation du programme des stages d’été (COPSÉ) for his work-term report entitled: Blood-based biomarkers of mental disorders.
The conference was held on January 16 at the University de Montréal. Gaël Villanueva-Charbonneau completed a three-month internship in Dr. Kouassi’s laboratory thanks to a grant from the Mach-Gaensslen Foundation of Canada. This foundation supports research in the fields of psychiatry and oncology.
The Award for Excellence included a $500 bursary sponsored by the Novartis pharmaceutical corporation.
