More Good News for Dr Sylvie Lesage!
Just recently, a team whose members include Dr Sylvie Lesage was awarded an FRSQ-Pfizer grant as well as an Emerging Team Grant from the CIHR. Dr Lesage has now been granted a CIHR New Investigator Salary Award. She placed 2nd out of 62 candidates in the Canada wide competition! This program is designed to provide outstanding new investigators with the opportunity to develop and demonstrate their independence in initiating and conducting health research.
Dr Lesage also recently became an accredited researcher in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at Université de Montréal’s Faculty of Medicine.
This is excellent news for the HMR Research Centre, but it is especially hopeful news for those who suffer from autoimmune and inflammatory diseases, the main focus of Sylvie Lesage’s research.
